Air Force rape cadet to face court martial

(July 3) The U.S. Air Force Academy announced Wednesday that it will put Douglas Meester, 20, of Marco Island, Florida, up for court-martial on charges of rape, forcible sodomy, conduct unbecoming an officer for providing alcohol to a minor, and indecent assault. An 18-year-old former cadet from Pennsylvania told Air Force investigators she was raped in Meester's dorm room on Oct. 18.

Mexican pop star loses bid for freedom
