(January 6) A Valparaiso University student who planted a wireless device to videotape female athletes in the locker room at Valparaiso University apologized to his victims before being sentenced to 60 days in jail. Twenty-two-year-old Christopher H. Hayen was a wide receiver on Valparaiso's football team at the time of his arrest.

NY elevator rapist sentenced to 35 years

(January 6) New York City "elevator rapist" Tyrone Williams, who assaulted four women in separate attacks in Chelsea last year, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Monday. Williams allegedly cornered his victims in building elevators and raped or molested them while brandishing a gun and threatening to "blow [their] brains out."

Va. bill would ban nude kids' summer camp

(January 6) A summer camp for teens at a nudist park in southeastern Virginia last year won't be repeated if the General Assembly enacts a Republican-authored bill this winter. "We're going to put an end to kids running around naked without their parents there," said John S. "Jack" Reid, the bill's sponsor.

Christian to build nudist Eden near Tampa

(January 6) A man who's purchased about 240 acres of land about 30 miles outside Tampa says he wants to turn it into a Garden of Eden for Christian nudists. "The Bible very clearly states that when Adam and Eve were in right with God, they were naked," said a spokesman for the project. "When people are in right with God, they do not have to fear nudity."

(January 6) Officials of two New Jersey communities admit they dropped attorney Eric Bernstein as their municipal attorney because he also represented operators of pornographic websites. Bernstein once served as a mediator for ynotmasters.com, a website that provides legal and business advice to operators of adult sites, and continues to answer questions posted on the site.

Pair busted for running teen porn site

(January 6) A Minnesota man and woman were arrested and charged with using a minor in a sexual performance after a search of the woman's home confrmed a tip made by a 16-year-old girl. The informant told police photos of underaged girls were being taken and posted on an Internet website operated out of the home.
