I received an interesting email about cell phones the other day.

One of the facts stated was that you can avoid charges for directory assistance by punching in 800-free-411 or 800-373-3411.

Has anyone here heard of this or tried it?

I've since heard that it definitely is for real. It's paid for with an advertisement that plays while you're waiting.

I'm not sure about where it's available other than North America.
