what should i expect when i go on the pill?

i heard you gain alot of weight....
anyone here on the pill?
any changes to your body? or mind?

you dont so much put on weight, it makes you think you are hungry so therefore you eat more and then you do but on more weight,. It's the same sort of thing on the injection.

Personally I cant stand the pill because I really cant be arsed to take it everyday, a jab in the butt every 3 months does it for me Smile

I didn't notice a thing when I went on the pill. But I did like being able to predict my period and skip it entirely if I needed to.

I've heard of cases where the pill alters the woman's hormones in conflicting ways. In those cases the ladies were glad to be off of it.

These days the pill uses such very small doses of hormones that most people don't have much of a problem. If you do there are plenty of options like progesterone-only, IUDs etc

The needle worked well for me a couple of times and then i just spotted everyday which was rather inconvenient and certainly not conducive to impromtu sex play.

I always had the pill and I had no problems I also fell pregnant within a month of going off it, so no worries there.

I have heard some types act up with some women but so many types are available now and much work has been done in the area.

I had awful mood swings and hot flashes, and I am only 24, on the pill. Not to mention all of the forgetting about it and my periods went extremely irregular when they weren't prior.

I then used the Nuva Ring and hated that option way more than anything. Wouldn't have been bad if it would have STAYED IN PLACE.. grr.

Have you looked into the patch? This is one thing that hasn't given me any bad side effects and it really stays on well!

I took the pill for about 15 years. It's been 10 years since I've taken it though.

The only problem I had was weight gain. One benefit (aside from the obvious one) was that it helped clear my acne. Very Happy

The number one effects of pills is gaining weight. I noticed it from my cousin who started taking pills at the age of 18.

I don't know, it never had that effect for me. I've been on and off it for more years than I'd like to admit and not noticed any effects at all really. I know it can have effects but I also think people blame it for stuff that is completely unrelated.

As what I noticed to my friend who uses pills, her boobs become bigger and it really have a good shape.

I dont know what you should expect but i know that the pill did nothing but make me so sick every single morning that I woke up. I couldn;t stand taking it because i knew that i was going to be sick all the time.

I was on the pill so long ago I don't remember what it was like, except I did like knowing when my period was coming. I didn't gain any weight, and when we decided to have kids, I went off the pill and conceived within three months.

I have heard that the shot makes you gain weight and which it does. But the pill, nah.
