genital warts are passed during sex. It could take up to ten years to come out. If you know a guy with warts always use a condom ladies as this papilloma virus can be the cause of cervical cancer.
They are treatable and even though it may be a little embarassed to get them removed it's better than the alternative.
Any direct experiences with this? _________________ Wendy

I have a girlfriend who has HPV. She's very young and very worried about it.
I don't think condoms stop the spread of warts, if they are spread by skin-to-skin contact. There's a lot of genital skin that is not covered by a condom.
Same with herpes. |

Generally Jade if the male has them they look just like a wart on your hand. It would be hard to miss by sight or feel. Females can be that way to and can also be flatter.
The warts themselves need to come in contact to spread but having said that it could probably pass from a hand touching the infected genital area then touching your genitals.
I might do some research on this and post it here. _________________ Wendy

Yes Paris, genital warts can be passed even when wearing a condom. Many STIs (sexually transmitted infections) can be.
I was just reading today that there are some things they don't even have tests for! |

| Up to 10 years to come out!?!? Wow, I didn't know that! I've never had any problems/experience with this or had any guy that had them and/or openly admit it. |

| I must be aware of this issue. I have nothing to worry because my lover don't have that thing. In addition, I only make love to a guy I love. and I'm pretty sure he don't have genital warts. |

| A friend of mine got these years and years ago. She had a one night stand with a creepy guy who forced anal sex on her and gave her warts in and around her rectum. It took a long time to get rid of them. |

| It's very important to be careful all the time. There are many ways to enjoy sex. But make sure in choosing your sex part especially in group sex where you exchange partners. |

| That's very good advice, myca, and also make sure to wash off any sex toys you're sharing with another couple, just in case they might carry something from another person to you. |

| Man that sucks major, thats why you should test your partner before having sex but people find that too much work to do just to indulge in a small event like sex. But since condoms doesn't keep you from getting warts then I think that is something everyone should take precaution in. |
