Has anyone here ever been in a polyamorous relationship, either all living together communal style, living apart, or some variation?
Polyamory is defined as engaging in simultaneous loving relationships. I would go further to say that it's truest form is when all partners agree that they are all involved with each other, in some form or fashion. Sometimes all live together and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they might all get together for sex, sometimes for other group activities.
This is just my definition so maybe your experience doesn't totally fit this scenario but falls within the general boundaries... |

I haven't heard of anybody in our place having such relationship. Usually the relationships we have are the usual girl-boy, or it can either be girl-girl or boy-boy but not group relationship or what you call polyamory. (This is the first time I have heard of such term).
I believe it is existing in some parts of the world where the people are more liberated but not very sure if it exists in our country.
Perhaps we would learn from someone else here who knows about such kind of arrangement and the lessons that we can learn from it. |

Geline, I don't know how much it goes on in the U.S. but I suspect it is mostly kept secret for fear of the "moral police" coming down on participants.
Some years before I married my husband, I thought about such an arrangement. I actually met a (seemingly) nice couple online who were looking for a wife. We all e-mailed back and forth for several months. After a while we lost touch.
I don't know if I could have gone thru with it but I was seriously thinking about doing a trial run with them. |

| I haven't experienced that thing but it looks more adventurous. For sure nobody is doing it public place that's why we are not totally aware that it exists. I'll ask some of my friends about it and I will surely share it to you. |
